Loretta Teo
Language: Cantonese & English

Loretta first began yoga as part of a recovery approach for a lower back injury nearly 8 years ago. Prior to that, she had always been physically active and was teaching HIIT classes. She eventually sought to evolve and develop her approach to mindfulness – which is her passion expressed through yoga.

In June 2017, she completed her YTT-200HR with Tiffany Cruikshank under Yoga Medicine, currently finishing her YTT-500HR, and has been teaching open enrollment, public, and corporate classes.

Additionally, she also teaches for the Hong Kong Cancer Fund as a way to give back to the sick and elderly. Stemming from a decade-long career in the hospital, she found her calling beyond the capacities of a healthcare professional. She has always aimed at building awareness through the body for herself, with gradual expansions into how to be a better person, along with seeing things in a broader context.

To further her quest for mindfulness, she completed mindfulness training in 2021 under Janet Lau, a renowned yoga and mindfulness teacher in Hong Kong. As of late, she has completed her Masters of Buddhist Counseling from HKU in 2023. Loretta’s compassionate, kind, and supportive approach is the crux of how she incorporates yoga and Buddhist philosophies into daily living through her classes.

Her class offerings include:
Yin Yang, Vinyasa, Gentle Flow, Restorative and Yoga Nira
