Good to know before you begin
A simple guide to help you choose the right option, book your classes, and feel ready for your first visit at IKIGAI.
Getting Started
Which option is best if I am new to IKIGAI?
Our first recommendation is the 14-Day Starter Program. It gives you unlimited access to group classes across IKIGAI for 14 days, so you can explore different practices and build consistency before choosing a membership.
It is designed as a clear starting point, not just a trial. You can use it to discover what works best for your body, schedule, and goals.
When does the 14-Day Starter Program begin?
The 14 days begin from the date of purchase. We recommend starting when you know you can attend at least two classes per week.
Which studios can I visit?
IKIGAI currently welcomes students across Central, Causeway Bay, and Tsim Sha Tsui. Please check the specific pricing option before purchasing, as some offers may be studio-specific while others include all-studio access.
What happens after the 14 days?
At the end of your 14 days, you can continue with the option that fits your routine best, such as a monthly membership or a class package.
Our team can help you choose based on how often you plan to practise and which studios you prefer.
Booking & Classes
How do I book classes?
You can book classes through the IKIGAI website, but we recommend downloading the IKIGAI Wellness App for a smoother booking experience.
How far in advance can I book?
Students with valid credits or memberships can usually book classes up to two weeks in advance. Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking early, especially for popular evening and weekend classes.
What if a class is full?
You can join the waitlist. If a space becomes available, you will receive a confirmation and be added to the class.
Once confirmed, the usual cancellation policy applies. Please only join the waitlist if you are able to attend.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel a class without charge if you cancel at least 6 hours before the class start time.
Late cancellations and no-shows may result in the loss of a class credit, or may be treated as attended for membership holders.
What if I arrive late?
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before class. To respect the teacher and other students, late arrivals may not be allowed into the room once the class has started.
If you arrive too late to join, it may be counted as a no-show.
Preparing For Class
What level are your classes?
We offer classes for different levels, from beginner-friendly practices to more dynamic sessions. If you are new, start with classes that focus on relaxation, alignment, gentle flow, or fundamentals.
Our teachers can offer modifications, so please let them know if you are new, injured, pregnant, or unsure about anything before class begins.
Do I need to bring a yoga mat?
No. Mats and essential props are provided at the studio. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.
Please bring a water bottle. Filtered water is available at the studios.
What facilities are available?
Facilities vary slightly by location, but our studios generally include changing areas, showers, lockers, and access to yoga props.
For the most accurate studio details, please visit our Studios page.
What is the class etiquette?
- Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before class.
- Remove your shoes before entering the practice area.
- Keep your phone on silent or airplane mode.
- Speak softly near studio rooms when a class is in session.
- No eating inside the studio.
- Tell the teacher about any injury, pregnancy, or condition before class.
- Return props neatly after use.
- Help us keep the space calm, clean, and welcoming.
Memberships & Packages
Do you offer memberships?
Yes. Memberships are ideal if you want to practise regularly each month. Depending on your preference, you can choose options such as monthly class memberships, unlimited memberships, or studio-specific plans.
Please check the current pricing page for the latest available options.
Can I extend a package or suspend a membership?
Some memberships and class packages may be eligible for suspension or extension, depending on the type of plan purchased.
Discounted offers may not be extendable. For the latest details and forms, please visit our Terms & Conditions page.
What if I am pregnant or have a medical reason?
If you are pregnant or need to pause for medical reasons, please contact our team. A valid medical certificate may be required for longer suspensions or extensions.
We recommend speaking to your doctor before joining any class if you have a medical condition or injury.
Weather, Private Classes & Corporate
What is your bad weather policy?
When Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, affected classes may be cancelled.
